I'm inspired by my Los Angeles neighborhood, the people in my community, and my Mexican American culture. I search for the beauty in people and places that often go overlooked. Mindful of staying in the present to not miss a heartbeat of the city, I take my easel to the streets. Capturing life moments. In other instances, I'm ready with my phone camera to photograph those rapidly disappearing cultural, moments. Then later, I  collage and paint onto canvas.
