A street vendor juxtaposed against the punishing landscape of Los Angeles—holding a bowl of sliced oranges, masked and hooded, standing before layers of advertising, graffiti, and commercial signage. This is survival economics made visible.

Using acrylic, oil, and collaged paper on wood panel, I create texture and depth—the vendor emerging from the chaos of signage and advertisement. This is the daily reality of informal economy workers: standing for hours in punishing heat, selling fruit, flowers, or whatever the street will buy, invisible to those who speed past.
