Every painting leaves something behind. This is made from months of studio scraps - oil, acrylic, glitter, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, the evidence of late nights at the Bendix.
5"x5" x1.5” round stretched canvas. Mixed media: oil, acrylic, glitter, found objects.
First piece in the Painting Guts series. Collecting everything that hits the studio floor - all the substances that keep me going while I'm creating. Taking what's left over and compressing it into something new. Like alchemy.
